Enroll now for Citizens’ Police Academy
The Police Department is accepting applications for the spring session of the Citizens’ Police Academy, which will begin on Feb. 15.
Applicants are encouraged to enroll early, as class size is limited and space typically fills quickly. Application deadline is Feb. 10. Applications are available at the police station or online. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, live or work in Lenexa, and have no criminal record. Criminal history background checks will be conducted.
Classes typically meet from 6:30 p.m. to approximately 9:30 p.m. each Wednesday, from Feb. 15 to May 2 at the Lenexa Police Department, 12500 W. 87th Street Parkway. There is no fee to academy participants.
