The Lenexa City Council will hold a public hearing on the 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. The public hearing will be part of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting which takes place at Lenexa City Hall.

The recommended Capital Improvement Program is $137.8 million for fiscal years 2018 through 2022. The program has 32 funded projects. Three projects comprise over 50% of the recommended CIP.

  • Pavement Management Program ($32 million)
  • Stormwater infrastructure replacement ($14.3 million)
  • Ridgeview Road – K-10 to Prairie Star Parkway ($33.2 million)

City Administrator Eric Wade worked with staff during the past several months to prepare the recommended Capital Improvement Program.

A Capital Improvement Program is a planning and fiscal management tool. This program serves as a guide for implementing and financing various capital needs such as streets, traffic signals, bridges and public facilities that align with the City Council’s strategic goals.
