The Lenexa City Council will hold a public hearing on the 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. The public hearing will be part of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting which takes place at 7 p.m. at Lenexa City Hall.

The recommended 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program is $137.8 million. The program has 32 funded projects. Three projects comprise over 50% of the recommended CIP.

  • Ridgeview Road – K-10 to Prairie Star Parkway ($33.2 million)
  • Pavement Management Program ($32 million)
  • Stormwater infrastructure replacement ($14.3 million)

City Administrator Eric Wade worked with staff during the past several months to prepare the recommended Capital Improvement Program.

A Capital Improvement Program is a planning and fiscal management tool. This program serves as a guide for implementing and financing various capital needs such as streets, traffic signals, bridges and public facilities that align with the City Council’s strategic goals.
