Planning & Development Services Division recognized for work
Lenexa’s planners have been recognized by the Mid-America Regional Council for their work on the Lenexa Guidebook of Quality Community Development Strategies. The Guidebook contributes to the sustainable development and redevelopment of Lenexa and is a tool to educate citizens and developers on effective ways to implement sustainable practices. The guidebook addresses all seven characteristics of a sustainable place as outlined in the Mid-America Regional Council’s Creating Sustainable Places initiative and identifies benefits and challenges for each strategy and program.
