In order to engage in business as a pawnbroker or precious metals dealer in Lenexa, you must obtain a pawnbroker/precious metals dealer license.
Check with our zoning department to be sure that your location is zoned for this use. Requirements for the license include restrictions on age, citizenship, Kansas residency and criminal history. In addition, a detailed inventory of goods held in pledge or for sale must be maintained and available for viewing by the Police Department.
