In order to collect residential or commercial solid waste in Lenexa, you must obtain a refuse hauler license and provide proof of insurance coverage in the amount of not less than five hundred thousand dollars ($ 500,000.00) for each occurrence.
Hours of collection may not begin before 7 a.m. (CST) and pick-up must stop before sunset. Collections must be made at least once a week.
To apply for a license
To obtain a refuse hauler license, complete the refuse hauler license application, which is available from the Department of Community Development in City Hall.
