Neighborhood Revitalization

Vision of Neighborhood Revitalization
Lenexa is a great community in which to live, work and play. Over time, however, our city has faced challenges: aging public infrastructure, aging housing, increasing code violations and other issues. The City of Lenexa is committed to improving conditions in neighborhoods facing such challenges by focusing services and programs on comprehensive improvements and combining the strengths of the community with the resources of the city.

Neighborhood revitalization incentives are available to encourage property owners to reinvest in their properties and improve neighborhoods in an effort to continue Lenexa’s reputation as a safe, attractive and friendly community. Property owners within the established neighborhood revitalization district may apply for any or all of the programs.

District boundaries

The district boundaries are north to 85th Street, south to 98th Street, east to Goddard Street, and west to Acuff Lane. The district also includes two small portions of the city to the north and south of this area. View the Neighborhood Revitalization district map or use the search tool to see if your property is within the district.

Programs

The Lenexa Neighborhood Revitalization District Programs are the Tax Rebate program and Exterior Grant program. Please review each program’s criterion to ensure eligibility. For a snapshot comparison of the two programs, see our Neighborhood Revitalization Programs comparison guide.
