Dumpster Days

Trash haulers in Lenexa are required to offer their customers one curbside collection of bulky items each calendar year. Contact your trash hauler to schedule this pickup.

Trash requirements

If you are a Lenexa resident, you can also dispose of bulky items at our Dumpster Days event, which is held two weekends each year. You will be asked to show proof of residency (such as a driver’s license or utility bill showing a current Lenexa address).

Recycling at Dumpster Days

We often partner with Habitat for Humanity's ReStore to offer recycling during Dumpster Days. ReStore accepts new and gently used, non-stained upholstered furniture; wood and laminate furniture in good condition (no water damage or peeling veneer); lighting, accessories and decorative rugs (no stains).

There is no charge to donate your items if ReStore can use them. If they cannot, you can dispose of them at Dumpster Days for the fees outlined above. Donations may be tax-deductible and will benefit Habitat for Humanity's building projects.
