Ad Astra Park is a 10-acre park located next to Christa McAuliffe Elementary School. It includes a natural area, .7-mile jogging/walking trail, which connects to Ad Astra Trail to the north and a large open play area.


Shelter rental

The Ad Astra Shelter is 20’x40’ with a capacity of 95/80 seated. It has 10 8-foot tables, electricity, a grill, a drinking fountain and restrooms available at Ad Astra Pool.

Playground

This playground is accessible for all abilities to ride and slide. There is a play set for kids ages 2–5 with slides and climbing wall. The play equipment for ages 5–12 features bridges, climbing walls, boulder climbing and slides. A music-making station with multiple percussion instruments is available. There are four swings, including an ADA accessible swing. The primary surface is a poured-in-place safety surface, with wood mulch in the swings area.

Ad Astra Pool

At 610,000 gallons, Ad Astra Pool is great for families, lap swimmers and others looking for a fun day in the water. It has a zero-depth entry, eight 50-meter lap lanes and two 1-meter diving boards.

Ad Astra Pool is generally open from Memorial Day through early-August each year.

  • Open swim hours: Monday through Saturday, noon to 8 p.m.; Sunday noon to 6 p.m.
  • Admission: Free with pool pass; $5 for residents; $7 for non-residents.
