Bill Nix

Bill Nicks was elected to serve as a Ward 2 council member in 2017, and then reelected to another four-year term in 2021.

Nicks and his wife, Marci, have lived in Lenexa for more than 35 years. They have three children and eight grandchildren, all in the area. Nicks served 29 years as Lenexa's first Parks & Recreation Director.

Nicks performs five first-person historical re-enactments (Octave Chanute, Wilbur Wright, James Naismith, Ike Eisenhower and Tom Pendergast) and conducts historical bus tours to Topeka, Abilene, Lawrence and around Kansas City.

After serving three years in the U. S. Army, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washburn University and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Kansas.
