Housing and Neighborhoods

Tasks: to explore a variety of issues that likely will include the qualities and characteristics of sustainable neighborhoods (infrastructure as well as green practices and energy alternatives), opportunities for reinvesting in neighborhoods, what is affordable housing in Lenexa and how to provide life cycle housing.

Strong Economic Base

Tasks: responsible for ideas involving how to manage Lenexa’s economic growth to ensure that Lenexa is well planned balanced and remains economically vital. May involve topics such as regional and local draws that benefit Lenexa, revitalization and maintenance of existing business, and opportunities to increase retail and restaurant development.
