Lenexa Art Fair

Join us for the first Lenexa Art Fair, which will be held in the beautiful park setting in Central Green at City Center. The 2014 Lenexa Art Fair, a juried exhibit featuring 50 fine artists, will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. View a list of the featured artists.

At this one-day event, you will enjoy meeting artists while shopping at the various fine-art booths. Other activities include a wine and craft beer tasting, live music and delicious food. Admission to the Lenexa Art Fair is free.

Wine & Craft Beer Tasting
The wine and craft beer tasting event will take place from 4-8 p.m. Admission to the tasting is $20 per person and includes the following: 10 taste tickets that can be used either for wine or beer (each ticket is good for a one-ounce pour of wine or a two-ounce pour of beer), palate cleansers and a souvenir glass. Participants must be 21 or older and must present ID at the Info Booth or ID Check Station. To claim your tickets, check in at the Info Booth or ID Check Station (purchaser’s name will be on the guest list). Wristbands for those 21 and older will be provided. Admission to the tasting is limited to 2000 attendees and is sold in advance online, or you may call the Community Center at 913-477-7100.

Guests may also purchase wine by the bottle from the various wineries to open and enjoy at the event or to take home.

Volunteers Needed
We have fun and interesting volunteer job opportunities available at the event. Come meet people, make friends and help your community by volunteering as an Art Ambassador or Wine & Craft Beer Tasting Assistant. Sign up or learn more in our Volunteer Center.

Parking and Free Shuttle Service
Free event parking is located at the B.E. Smith building on the southeast corner of 87th Street Parkway and Renner Boulevard. A continuous shuttle will run to and from the event parking lot throughout the event. View a map of the parking area. View a map of the shuttle drop off.

Artist Selection
Artist applications were accepted November 12 through February 10. The jury panel reviewed the applications and invitations were sent on February 21. For more information about the application process, please visit our Zapp application site.
