May is Music Month

Music is in the air as our community celebrates May is Music Month!

Movie in the Park – ** NEW DATE ** May 30

Due to the unseasonably cold temperatures predicted for May 16 and 17, this event is being rescheduled for Friday, May 30.

Grab your blanket or lawn chairs and join us for a musical movie on the big screen at Electric Park. This year's movie is "Mary Poppins" rated G. Come early and enjoy music provided by Music House School of Music. Musical entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m. The movie begins at 8:30 p.m. or when it's dark. Feel free to bring your own snacks, and enjoy concessions provided by Greg Aldrich State Farm. The event is funded in part by the Lenexa Arts Council.

Music in Art at City Hall Gallery – May 6-26

A music-themed exhibit featuring art from members of the Kansas City Artists' Coalition will be on display in the City Hall Art Gallery. The exhibit is coordinated by the Lenexa Arts Council. The City Hall Art Gallery shows are free and open to the public during regular City Hall hours.
