Baseball and softball
Lenexa has six baseball/softball fields available for use.

• Freedom Fields (83rd & Monticello Road) has four fields with complete backstops.

Soccer and multi-use fields

• Freedom Fields (83rd & Monticello Road) has seven usable spaces.
• Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park (87th Street and Lackman) has two usable spaces.
• Little Mill Creek North (79th Street and Cottonwood) has nine usable spaces.

Currently Electric Park and Buffalo Meadows Park Fields are not reservable. Both of these park fields are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Field rentals
All fields are available for rental on a first-come, first-served basis, unless a permit is already issued. To rent a sports field, you must sign a contract at the Lenexa Community Center. Fees are $5 per hour for Lenexa residents, $10 per hour for nonresidents.

Cancellation of any field reservation must be made 14 days prior to the function, or the deposit will be forfeited.

Field use
The renter assumes responsibility for any damage to the fields during their usage. Please use good judgment when determining the playability of an athletic field to ensure the continued health of the turf, sustainability of the field throughout the season and user safety.

An athletic field should be considered closed for play if any part of the field becomes unsafe for field users or if conditions exist where use will cause damage to the field, such as:

• standing water present on any part of the field that cannot be removed without causing damage to the field
• muddy conditions that will not dry by the start of the game
• when water can be seen or heard with a footstep while walking on the field
• when any impression of a footprint is left in the surface while walking on the field of play
• if water gathers around the sole of a shoe or boot on any portion of the field
