A Day of Fun

Bring your family and friends to Black Hoof Park for the fourth annual Get Outdoors Lenexa, a family event that offers a variety of activities. We’ve lined up a great morning of outdoor challenges, yoga, outdoor safety tips, a bounce house, kite flying, an obstacle course and much more. This event is free to the public.

Fishing Derby

A fishing derby for kids ages 12 and under will be held. The fishing derby is catch and release. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest, smallest and most fish. Please bring your own equipment (a limited supply of poles will be available to borrow). Pre-registration for the fishing derby is requested.

Get Outdoors Lenexa is held in conjunction with National Get Outdoors Day, which encourages Americans, especially our youth, to seek out healthy, active outdoor lives and embrace our parks, forests, refuges and other public lands and waters.
