I am pleased to welcome you to the Lenexa Parks and Recreation Department web page. Our goal is to create community through the people, parks and programs offered through our department.
The Lenexa Parks and Recreation Department offers nearly 700 acres of park land and maintains 41 parks, green space locations and recreation facilities. I hope that you take advantage of our recreation activities, our many festivals, and enjoy your parks and trails.
This is an exciting time for the department as we are in the process of working on the city’s first Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan. This plan will guide the city in planning for future parks and recreation efforts. As part of that effort, we hope to hear from you. There will be several opportunities for input as this plan progresses. Please continue to check our website to see how you can become involved.
