RideKC Taxi (formerly Senior Taxi Program)

Updated Jan. 30, 2017

Lenexa’s Senior Taxi Program  has transitioned to RideKC Taxi. This regional voucher program provides subsidized taxi rides to residents who are age 65 and older or have a disability. It is federally funded and operated in partnership with 10/10 Taxi.

Residents must apply and be approved to use the program. Riders are no longer limited to destinations within Lenexa city limits or to medical appointments, as they were with the Senior Taxi Program. Each one-way trip costs $5 and covers up to 10 miles. The rider pays the additional cost for distances beyond that. Participants can load up to 10 one-way rides per month on an electronic fare card, which works like a debit card.

The RideKC Taxi service is available any day at any time, including weekends and holidays. After being approved to use the program, call 10/10 Taxi at 816.777.1104 at least 45 minutes in advance to schedule a trip.

Call 816.221.0660 to learn more about RideKC Taxi. Have questions about the program transition? Contact Danielle Dulin at 913.477.7500.
