Education and outreach

City of Lenexa presentation display with stormwater information
In Lenexa, we focus on protecting water by the way we design, build and live in our community. As part of this effort, we provide educational assistance and opportunities to residents, businesses and professionals to reduce polluted runoff and flooding.

Clean water begins with you. By learning more about how to protect and improve our water, you can improve the quality of life in Lenexa.

How do I start?

Identify areas where you contribute to water pollution and make changes. Everyone can take an active role in protecting the streams and lakes in our community.

  • Learn more about stormwater.
  • Volunteer to protect our water.
  • Advocate for cleaner water.
  • Support Rain to Recreation by attending Waterfest.
