Senior Programs & Services

We offer a wide variety of programming and services for senior citizens in our community. Most programs are run out of the Lenexa Senior Center.

Senior Center weekly schedule

Join us for daily fun activities at the Senior Center. Participants must register for bingo in advance at 913.477.7134.

  • Monday: Movies at 12:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Bingo at 12:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Bridge at 12:30 p.m.
  • Friday: Pinochle at 12:30 p.m.; Bridge at 12:30 p.m.

Johnson County Nutrition meals

Johnson County Nutrition Services provides hot lunch meals at 11:30 a.m. weekdays at the Lenexa Senior Center. If you are 60 or older, you may call 913.888.6141 between 9 and 10 a.m., the day before to request your meal. 
  • Suggested donation: $4

  • Meals are planned to meet the dietary needs of older adults. Menus change monthly

Meals may be canceled if road or weather conditions are hazardous. Cancellations will be reported to local radio and television stations by 9 a.m.

  • RideKC Taxi voucher program - The program provides taxi services to Johnson County residents. Anyone who is age 65+ or has a disability is eligible to apply. Call 816.221.0660 for more information. 

  • Johnson County Transit Special Edition - A shared-ride program providing affordable curb-to-curb transportation for registered residents of Johnson County who are age 65+, have a documented disability or meet low-income guidelines. Call 816.221.0660 for more information.
