Embrace adventure and possibility with Lenexa Parks & Recreation youth summer camps in 2019. Our licensed camps take place on weekdays from June 3 through Aug. 9, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Lenexa Rec Center.

Your child will make lasting memories at camps that are packed with exciting, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor games, team building, contests and hands-on challenges and projects designed for their skill level. Each week includes multiple swimming opportunities and a field trip to destinations like Science City at Union Station, a trampoline park, Kansas City T-Bones and Arrowhead Stadium.

What’s new this year?

  • We’ve increased the number of day camp slots by 25 percent, which equals more fun for more campers!

  • We’ve added an extra week of day camp offerings for a total of 10 weeks.

  • Summer day camps are now open to kids up to age 15.

  • There are more add-on activities (swim lessons, sport clinics) and specialty camp opportunities (LEGO and Mad Science) for kids with particular interests. These options can be combined with day camps.

  • Returning families get access to early registration.

General registration opens on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019. Our summer day camps are popular and will fill quickly. Enroll in one or more weeks based on what fits your schedule. If a specific camp is full, consider joining the waitlist in case a spot opens up.

You must register in person at the Lenexa Rec Center, and payment for your child’s first week of camp is due at that time. Lenexa residents or Lenexa Rec Center members can take advantage of a discounted rate.

Mark your calendar now to ensure an action-packed summer for your child!
