Bandage over pool photo

If you’re visiting a City of Lenexa facility or pool in July, bring a box of fun unopened bandages with you to help support a local charity!

The City of Lenexa’s We Care Committee is hosting a bandage drive through the end of July for Noah’s Bandage Project, a local organization that raises funds for pediatric cancer research and provides young patients cool, colorful bandages to bring smiles to their faces during treatments.

Pick up a box of cool, colorful bandages and drop them off at any of these locations:

  • Ad Astra Pool front desk, 8265 Maurer Rd.
  • Indian Trails Aquatic Center front desk, 8801 Greenway Ln.
  • Flat Rock Creek Pool front desk, 13120 W. 103rd St.
  • Rec Center lobby, 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy.
  • City Hall lobby, 17101 W. 87th St. Pkwy.
  • Police Department lobby, 12500 W. 87th St. Pkwy.
  • Senior Center, 13425 Walnut St.
  • Fire Station #1, 9620 Pflumm Rd.

Lenexa’s We Care Committee, made up of representatives from each city department, creates events and campaigns which support one of the city organization’s employee values – We Care. Some of the events the group regularly hosts to support area not-for-profit organizations include food drives, diaper drives, warmth trees and recycling opportunities.
