Sip, Mingle and Jingle

Start the busy holiday season with the perfect laid-back evening at the Lenexa Public Market. Relax with gal pals and get a head start on gifts for everyone on your list. Take advantage of drink and appetizer specials, and shop for high-quality, locally made goods from our regular merchants, plus a variety of pop-up day cart vendors.

Sar-Ko Aglow Lighting Ceremony

Dec. 3, 2021, 6–7 p.m.
Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, 87th Street Parkway and Lackman Road

A stunning annual display of thousands of holiday lights brightens this favorite park during the winter season. Mayor Boehm will flip the ceremonial switch on Dec. 3. Admire the enchanting scene each evening through Jan. 17. Free admission.

Breakfast Soirée With Santa

Santa Claus is taking a much-needed break from his busy toy-making schedule to have breakfast with us at the Lenexa Public Market. Bring the family to interact with jolly ol' Saint Nick and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast buffet catered by market merchants. This special holiday event has limited seating, so be sure to get your name on the “nice” list! Registration opens Friday, Nov. 12.

Reindeer Games and Selfies With Santa

Dec. 11, 2021, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Lenexa Rec Center, 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy.

Once breakfast is done at the Public Market, Santa will be ready to have a blast at the Lenexa Rec Center! Kids can join the fun with snowball fights, homemade ornaments, cookie decorating and more! Be sure to snap a selfie with Santa in front of the Rec Center’s cozy fireplace. $5 per child.

Candy Cane Hunt 

Dec. 17, 2021, 9–11 a.m.
Lenexa Community Center, 13420 Oak St.

Dress warm and hunt for candy canes! After our hunt, we’ll head to the gym for milk and cookies, fun winter activities, and a performance by family entertainer Mr. Stinky Feet. Depending on his workshop schedule, Santa may stop by to check on all the boys and girls! Ages 6 and under. Free admission.
