The City of Festivals has a cauldron of spook-tacular events brewing to make sure you have a happy howl-oween! Get those costumes ready because its sure to be a ghastly good time around town this October. 

Fall-O-Ween Yard Tour

Oct. 21–31, 2022
All day around Lenexa

Welcome the beauty of fall and the playfulness of Halloween. Residents and businesses will decorate their properties for your delight and enjoyment. Grab some treats, load up the car, and take a self-guided tour of boo-tiful Lenexa using our interactive map. Free activity. 

Do you pull out all the stops to decorate for the season? Register your home or business to be part of the tour by Friday, Oct. 14. You could win bragging rights for the best display.

Truck or Treat

Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 | 8–11 a.m.
Municipal Services Service Center, 7700 Cottonwood St.

This event is a Halloween machine. Watch monstrous equipment demolish pumpkins and learn how City workers keep Lenexa in fang-tastic shape with fun, hands-on activities. Don’t forget to have the kids wear a costume and bring a treat bag. Free admission. 

Enchanted Forest

Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 | 4–8 p.m.
Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, 87th Street Parkway and Lackman Road

For one magical night a year, Lenexa’s most popular park transforms into an enchanted forest filled with not-too-spooky delights for families with younger children. Hop on a hayride, paint a pumpkin and stroll around Rose’s Pond for puppet shows, musicians, magic shows and charming performances. Free admission.

Friday Night Sound Bites & Costume Contest

Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 | 6–9 p.m.

Come in costume, gobble up grub and enjoy thrilling music at our Halloween-inspired Friday Night Sound Bites. Listen to local band Faded Stranger. Children’s costume contest at 6:45 p.m. Adult costume contest at 8 p.m. Free admission.

Haunted Gingerbread House Workshop
