Real Christmas trees, greenery and wreaths are biodegradable, and we offer easy ways to dispose responsibly of your fresh décor.

Christmas Tree Drop-Off

Residents can drop off natural evergreen trees, wreaths and garlands at the Little Mill Creek North Park parking lot, 79th and Cottonwood streets, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 26 through Jan. 10. Please remove all decorations, nails and plastic bags.

The City of Lenexa will mulch this greenery for use on trails and in landscaping, and to improve fish habitat in local parks.

Residents can pick up free mulch from bins at Little Mill Creek Park and Freedom Fields. These sites are not staffed, and residents must load the mulch by hand.

For more information, contact Landscape Supervisor Curt Talken at [email protected].
