The Lenexa Community Orchestra performs free concerts for the community each summer. The orchestra, which began in 2017 as a program of the Lenexa Arts Council, is made up of volunteer musicians and is led by conductor Richard Ryan.

Concert schedule 

2023 concerts will take place on the following dates:

Saturday, July 1
Saturday, July 29
Saturday, August 12

All concerts begin at 7 p.m. at Community Covenant Church, 15700 W. 87th St. Pkwy., Lenexa, KS 66219. Doors open approximately 20-30 minutes prior to the concert following the sound check.

Play music with us

Our goal is to build a community of artists who want to create music together. Applications for volunteer musicians are accepted from March to May for each summer concert season. Additional information and a link to register as a volunteer can be found at the city's volunteer center. Once you register, you will receive a google form to indicate availability, instrument played and experience/background. Deadline to apply is May 1.
