Need to get rid of bulky household items like furniture, appliances and electronic equipment that can't be included in regular trash collection? The spring Dumpster Days event for Lenexa residents will be held Saturday, April 8, and Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Bring your items to the Municipal Services Service Center at 7700 Cottonwood St., across from Mill Creek Elementary School. Fees will be charged at the gate based on the size of the load and the type of item.

On Saturday, April 8 only, Lenexa will partner with Habitat for Humanity's ReStore to accept new and gently used, non-stained upholstered furniture; wood and laminate furniture in good condition; lighting, accessories and decorative rugs. The city will also collect beds and bed frames in good condition for Sleepyhead Beds.

Can't make it to Dumpster Days? Lenexa trash haulers are required to offer customers one bulky item curb pickup each year. Contact your hauler to ask about its policy.

How to dispose of household chemicals
