Quivira Road is one of the busiest corridors in Lenexa, with thousands of vehicles passing through the area on a daily basis. We were recently awarded a grant to study Quivira Road from 79th to 99th Streets through the Mid-America Regional Council’s Planning Sustainable Places Program.
In this study, we hope to make recommendations regarding appropriate land uses and multimodal opportunities along the corridor by building upon the redevelopment activity that is happening near Quivira. We will also be looking at safety issues related to pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles.
You have the opportunity to get involved in the process by attending one of three scheduled public meetings:
- Sept. 21, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Nov. 9, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Jan. 11, 6 to 8 p.m.
