Invest in your creativity. Be your own source of inspiration. Try something new! Build community. Develop or refine your public speaking skills. Establish confidence in your own voice. Wherever you are, we're right there with you every step of the way.

Instructor: Poet Jen Harris. Sponsored by the Lenexa Arts Council in partnership with The Writing Workshop KC.

Workshop details

Bring your favorite writing medium: notebook, laptop. Whatever suits you.
First hour dedicated to active writing practice through prompts. Second hour dedicated to (voluntary!) reading of the first drafts written during the workshop. You are not obligated to share your work. You are always welcome to stay and listen to others.

Open to all genres and experience levels! Most appropriate for ages 16+.

This program works to amplify your creative strengths so that you may grow your skill sets and your passions. You will be held accountable for your words and their impact. You are safe to be, here.

To help limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community, this event is currently held online via Zoom.
