Rent the Lenexa Senior Center for your next event or meeting. This intimate venue in the heart of Old Town Lenexa is ideal for receptions, showers, parties, celebrations of life, business meetings, training seminars and more.

To rent the Senior Center, you must do so in person at:

  • Lenexa Rec Center, 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We begin accepting rental reservations on a first-come, first-served basis one year in advance on the first business day of each month.

The Lenexa Senior Center is not available for event rentals from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Rental space and rates 

Rental fee includes setup of tables and chairs, technology, amenities and on-site concierge. Additional fees may apply for alcohol consumption and damage deposit.

We offer discounted rates to Lenexa residents and businesses. Separate nonprofit rates are not available.

The Lenexa Senior Center is 1,800 square feet.

Alcohol and security policy

  • If you are having alcohol at your event, there is an additional $100 fee.

  • You must also fill out a Facility Alcohol Permit Form.

  • If you are serving alcohol, you must hire an off-duty Lenexa police officer. You must contact us and turn in your Facility Alcohol Permit Form at least 60 days before your event to book the officer(s). The fee is $50 per officer per hour, paid in cash directly to the officer(s) at the beginning of your rental. Officers must arrive 30 minutes before your event and remain onsite until 30 minutes after your last call or the event is over.

Requests for dates that are less than 15 days out are not guaranteed and need 48 hours to confirm availability.

Rental start time:

Decorating/vendor setup or warmup must be included in rental time. The Senior Center closes at 10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and at midnight Friday and Saturday. It is not available to rent before 5 p.m. on Monday–Friday. Takedown/cleanup must be completed and everyone must exit the building by rental end time.
