Fishing is one of the great American pastimes. We want to encourage all Lenexans to get out and throw a line in some of our great ponds and lakes.

This in-person youth fishing derby will be held at Rose's Pond in beautiful Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park for children ages 13 and under. It is a catch-and-release derby. Participants will measure their fish and then place them back in the pond.

Prizes are given to the participant with the most fish, smallest fish and largest fish.

Advance registration is recommended by noon on June 6, 2024. But we will take walk-up registrations on event day.
