Security Measure

State of emergency impacts City facilities and services

Johnson County has declared a state of emergency to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Several City facilities have closed and a number of services, programs and events are affected.

Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, 87th Street Parkway & Lackman Road, Lenexa, KS 66215

  • Free admission
  • Free parking at Indian Trails Aquatic Center and Foundry Church

Kick off your holiday festivities this year by meeting up with friends and neighbors for our traditional holiday lighting celebration.

  • We will hold the lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. 

  • Carolers will be stationed along the trail around Rose’s Pond following the lighting ceremony.

  • Santa Claus will be on hand to hear your children’s holiday wishes at the Grand Pavilion.

  • Hot chocolate will be available at the Lions Memorial Shelter.

Inclement Weather Plan

If the weather forecast predicts the temperature or wind chill to be 15 degrees or lower, we will cancel the event. We will make a decision about cancellation by noon on the day of the event.
