Interested Lenexans can easily take in discussions and votes on official City Council business in 2023 with a new interactive video recording system.

The City of Lenexa signed an agreement with Swagit Productions in fall 2022 to provide the equipment and production services needed to post recordings and provide closed captioning for City Council meetings. The first video will cover the January 3, 2023, meeting.

Viewers can take in a whole Council meeting or simply skip to the discussion that interests them. The recordings will integrate with Lenexa’s digital meeting agendas, so viewers can watch sections related to specific agenda topics. The videos will incorporate media shown in the meeting, like digital presentations, maps and images.

Official Lenexa City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Community Forum at Lenexa City Hall, 17101 W. 87th Street Parkway. Agendas, minutes and recordings for these meetings are available here.
