The City of Lenexa has partnered with BikeWalkKC’s RideKC Bike program to offer electric-assist bikes — also known as e-bikes — for rent. Electric-assist bikes offer a boost up a hill or some extra speed for quick trips around town.

Where to find an e-bike

Bike-share hubs are located at eight City parks and locations:

Hubs are also located at two Johnson County Parks and Recreation District parks in Lenexa:

How to rent an e-bike

To rent a e-bike, download the RideKC Bike app and follow the directions to scan and check out the bike. You may also see classic bikes (without electric assist) docked at our hubs from time to time.

Bikes cost $1 to unlock and 10 cents per minute.

E-bikes are placed in storage for the winter from December through February.

After downloading the RideKC Bike app, you can click on a hub near you to see how many bikes are docked there and how much battery charge each available e-bike has. Bikes without a percentage next to them are classic bikes.
