U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Celebration

Join us as 84 Lumber welcomes the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree to Lenexa on its cross-country journey to Washington, D.C. Lenexa Mayor Julie Sayers and other dignitaries will celebrate the season and honor our nation’s veterans.

Everyone is invited to share this joyful national tradition. Traveling from the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, the “People’s Tree” will bring holiday cheer to Lenexa.

Enjoy an afternoon of live music, sweet treats, Santa sightings and a community banner signing to send warm wishes with the tree to Washington. The celebration also includes:

A tribute to U.S. military veterans,
A card-signing station for active-duty service members, and
Opportunities for the community to come together in gratitude.
