Most of the City of Lenexa’s outdoor athletic courts are available to use on a first-come, first-served basis during regular park hours unless a city-sponsored program is scheduled. This includes basketball courts, disc golf courses, horseshoes, pickleball/tennis courts, Rolling Magic Skate Park, roller hockey rink and sand volleyball courts. 

For a fee, you can rent the roller hockey rink at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park and the pickleball/tennis courts at Flat Rock Creek Park, Matt Taylor Park, Old Town Activity Center and Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park.

Visit Lenexa Parks & Recreation's registration website to check on the availability of a tennis or pickleball court. 

After searching for a date, hover over the time block shown to check the status: green = available; black = unavailable.

Click on your desired reservation time block and click “Add to Cart.”

Step 4.Finalize reservation.

Sign in or create an account. Then proceed through the checkout process, where you will pay in full.

Roller hockey rink

Tennis / pickleball courts

Rental policy

  • Rentals for the current year can be made beginning the first business day in January. They must be made in person at the Lenexa Rec Center, 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy., 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. You will be asked to show a photo ID, sign a rental agreement, and pay applicable fees.
  • Once address and contact information is verified, courts may be reserved online.
  • Rentals must be made at least 24 hours in advance and no more than 90 days in advance.
  • Cancellation requests must be sent by email to parksandrec@lenexa.com at least 15 days prior to the reservation date to receive a full refund. Renters may request to reschedule due to severe or unsafe weather by notifying the City within two business days following the reservation date.
  • Rentals are for small-group play. Private tournaments, leagues, and fundraising events, etc. are prohibited.

The resident rate applies to residents and businesses who pay Lenexa property taxes. If you would like to qualify for the resident rate, please bring a valid driver’s license or a photo ID and current utility bill in your name.

Porch rental

Old Town Activity Center's spacious porch area is an ideal rental venue for mingling, games or simply enjoying the fresh air. It features a variety of seating, four pickleball courts, a basketball goal, two shuffleboard courts, table tennis and cornhole.
