Core Pass
Our basic membership level includes access to all of our amenities. Purchase Group X fitness classes, programs and services for an additional fee. Need-based scholarships are available.
X Pass
Our premier membership level includes access to all of our amenities, Group X fitness classes, plus a 10% discount on all Rec Center programs and services.
Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk in person to sign up for a membership.
- There are no initiation/application, maintenance or cancellation fees.
- Memberships are non-transferable.
- Need-based scholarships are available for a Core Pass membership.
Payment options
Monthly: Pay a monthly fee through an electronic funds transfer from a charge or debit account.
- Billing recurs automatically on the 20th day of each month (or the next City of Lenexa business day) until cancellation.
Annual: Pay a yearly fee during your initial signup with a check, credit or debit card.
- We send a renewal notice at least 30 days before your membership expires. Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk during operating hours to renew.
Membership card
A membership card key tag is required and helps ensure the security of your account. Having the key tag handy speeds up your check-in process and allows for contactless entry.
We offer replacement or extra key tags free of charge for members.
Change membership
Want to add/remove individuals from your account, add/remove Kid Zone child watch passes, or update your contact or billing information? Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk during operating hours. Save time by filling out a membership change form(PDF, 83KB) and emailing it in advance to therec@lenexa.com.
Cancel membership
Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk during operating hours to cancel in person, or fill out a membership cancellation form(PDF, 56KB) and email it to therec@lenexa.com.
Monthly memberships can be canceled with a 30-day written notice. Membership will be terminated following the 30-day period on the 19th of the month.
- Example: If notice was given on Feb. 1, membership will terminate March 19.
- There is no cancellation fee.
Annual memberships are nonrefundable.
A household is defined as up to five people, all residing within the same residence, one of which must be at least 18 years of age.
- Annual memberships are 12 months for the price of 11.
- Proof of residency is required for individuals age 18 and older (e.g., with driver’s license or some form of verified, non-junk mail received at your home).
- Kids age 2 and under are free. Kid Zone child watch service is available for a fee.
- Another child or adult in a household (sixth member and up) can be added with a plus one membership fee. Contact us at 913.477.7529 to discuss your situation.

Youth waiver
Parents/guardians must be present to sign a youth access waiver form(PDF, 868KB) for the initial visit of any youth age 12-17 who is using the facility unaccompanied by an adult. This waiver will be in effect for one year. During the initial visit a household account will be created with parent contact information in case of an emergency.

A plus one membership can be added to an adult or senior membership, or for the sixth (and up) person on a household membership.
