Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and pingpong into a fun, interactive low-impact, high-energy game. There are lots of opportunities to play pickleball in Lenexa parks and facilities. Schedules periodically change, so please call 913.477.7100 to confirm.
There are outdoor pickleball and tennis courts at several Lenexa parks, including Bois D'Arc, Flat Rock Creek and Matt Taylor.
Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless they have been reserved.

Lenexa Rec Center

- Activity Gym: Drop-in play is available at various times throughout the day, depending on the time of year. Admission is free for Lenexa Rec Center members and $2 for nonmembers.
- Second floor gym: Drop-in play is available periodically on the south court on various days. Must be a member of the Lenexa Rec Center or pay a day pass fee.

- To reserve a pickleball court at this facility, you must do so in person at the Lenexa Rec Center or the Lenexa Community Center.

Men's, Women's & Mixed Pickleball League
Leagues offered in January, May and August
- All games are self-officiated and teams report scores to league coordinator.
- Winners are determined at the end of the five-week league. All teams compete in a single-elimination tournament at the end of the league (no additional fee for tournament).
- Medals are given to the league champions as well as the first-third place tournament winners.
Divisions
- Ratings 3.5 & Under:
- Ratings 3.6–4.39:
Weekly matches
- Matches will be best 2 of 3 played to 11 points.
- Must win by 2 points.
- Cap at 15 points total.

Old Town Throwdown
Jan. 31, 2025 (3.0 and below) & Feb. 1, 2025 (3.5 and below)
This indoor tournament is hosted annually in the winter at the Lenexa Old Town Activity Center. Divisions include men’s, women’s and mixed for 3.0 and below as well as 3.5 and below.
- Friday Schedule: Men's, Women's and Mixed 3.0 and below.
- Saturday Schedule: Men's, Women's and Mixed 3.5 and below.
- Awards: Top three teams in each category will receive a medal.

The Beginner's Battle Pickleball Tournament
Nov. 16, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This tournament is for beginner players rated 2.9 and below who are newer to tournament play.
