Join us for a reception on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lenexa City Hall Art Gallery.

Kim Pjecha is a sculptor who works in clay, exploring themes of fragility, thought, balance and boundary. She develops expressive forms that push the capabilities of the medium, creating sculptures that suggest a precarious state or an impending shift.

Robert Kolar has spent much of his career creating for children—illustrating books, writing stories, producing animated cartoons and designing toys. His work is rooted in play and curiosity, aiming to entertain, inspire and spark imagination.

In his personal work, Kolar focuses on deconstruction and simplification. He explores how shapes interact in space to create form, movement and visual rhythm. Inspired by rocks, architecture, industrial objects, old cartoons and jazz, his work celebrates the beauty of geometry and the complex relationships between simple forms.
