We collect the following information to process a Fireworks Permit:
Every permitted public fireworks display shall have the number and type of standby fire apparatus as determined by the Fire Chief. A fee for the apparatus and assigned staffing will be required. The definition of fireworks in the 2018 International Fire Code does not include the use of caps or snakes, but does include sparklers. Untethered sky lanterns are prohibited, under separate provisions of the 2018 IFC. All fireworks prohibited by this code are prohibited within the City of Lenexa. Any person in violation of the above stated policies shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, publishable by Section 1-1-C-3 of the Lenexa City Code, unless otherwise specifically set out.
