The Lenexa Old Town Activity Center, Lenexa Public Market and Lenexa Rec Center will close early on Dec. 31. Legler Barn Museum is closed Dec. 31. Most City facilities are closed Jan. 1, but Lenexa Rec Center will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The City of Lenexa is in the process of designing a roadway improvement project that will reconstruct 83rd Street from Clare Road to Gleason Road as a four-lane divided roadway. This will accommodate increasing traffic volumes from development in western Lenexa and beyond.
City staff and their consultant, HNTB Corp., will be present to help you understand the proposed improvements and answer questions.
Construction of this project is anticipated to begin in spring 2027.
