City Center Live: Kristin & Lucy Gray Hamilton
Mother daughter folk duo Kristin & Lucy Gray Hamilton have delighted midwest audiences for more than ten years. Their original songs are rich in harmony and heart touching on topics of hope, grief and love, wrapped in the playful demeanor of acoustic guitar and violin.
Singer songwriter and mother, Kristin Hamilton, has released three albums with former string band Under The Big Oak Tree and most recently a solo album titled “Touch of Blue” that features her daughter Lucy Gray and also members of her current honky-tonk band Kristin Hamilton & The Heat.
Daughter Lucy Gray is a singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who grew up performing on festival stages from the young age of seven while studying classical and fiddle-style violin. By the age of nine she was performing her own original songs leading her to four awards for songwriting & composition, invitations to speak at events, repeated radio spins, TV appearances including WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour in Lexington, Kentucky and most recently a grant to record her latest single “Sixteen & Happy."
