How is the tournament structured?
Pool play assignments will be announced the Monday of the tournament week.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time and plan on staying for the duration of your bracket. There is a winner's bracket as well as a consolation bracket. Games will be played to 11 points (win by 2 and cap at 15 points).
Where are the games played?
All games will be played on the outdoor Bois D’Arc Park pickleball courts. No adjustments will be made for shade/wind, etc. In case of inclement weather, games will be moved to the Lenexa Rec Center and/or Lenexa Community Center.
What are the teams?
Teams consist of two players only — no subs. If one player is injured and cannot play, the team must forfeit.
No player can play on more than one team in the same division. Players are allowed to play in different categories.
How do the brackets work?
This tournament will consist of pool play followed by bracket play (single or double depending on the number of teams in the division). Each team will play every team in the pool once. Pool play record will set the seeding for the bracket play.
What do I need to bring?
We will only provide the courts and the balls to be used. No outside pickleballs will be allowed. Players must bring their own paddles and portable chairs.
What are the game rules and time limit?
Score cards will be given to each team prior to their game by the tournament coordinator.

Warm-ups allowed five-minute max. If a team is not there after the five-minute warm-up, a forfeit will be required.
How are the winners determined?
Teams will follow the bracket. One winner will be announced for each division.
How will the tournament rules be determined?
During this tournament, rules will be enforced primarily by the "honor system." There will be an onsite tournament coordinator. The tournament coordinator’s responsibility will be to rule on any situation in which teams cannot agree. The tournaments coordinator's decision is final — no exceptions.
What is the dress code?
Please wear appropriate attire suitable for pickleball play. Tennis shoes are recommended for safety.
What is the tournament code of conduct?
- Understand, appreciate and abide by the rules of the game.
- Respect the integrity and judgment of staff.
- Respect your opponent and congratulate them in a courteous manner following each match whether in victory or defeat.
- Be responsible for your actions and maintain self-control.
- Do not taunt or bait opponents and refrain from using foul or abusive language.
- Understand that not abiding by these rules will have you and/or your team removed from the tournament without a monetary refund.
Where should I park?
Free parking is available at the Foundry Church, 8835 Lackman Rd., Lenexa, KS 66219. Handicap-accessible parking is available at the Foundry Church parking lot.
Can alcohol or coolers be brought in?
No. You are not allowed to bring in alcoholic beverages.
What concessions will be available?
A refreshment tent will be available for all participants on-site. Light refreshments will be served to players such as water, fruit and snacks.
Are dogs allowed?
No dogs, except service dogs, are allowed at the event.
Where can players go between games?
Areas will be available for players to sit around the park, playground, parking lots, or in their car.
