Tournament structure
Pool play assignments announced the Monday of the tournament week.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time and plan on staying for the duration of your bracket. There is a winner's bracket as well as a consolation bracket. Games are played to 11 points (win by 2 and cap at 15 points).
Location
All games are played on the outdoor Bois D’Arc Park pickleball courts. No adjustments for shade/wind, etc. In case of inclement weather, games will be moved to the Lenexa Rec Center and/or Lenexa Community Center.
Teams
Teams consist of two players only — no subs. If one player is injured and cannot play, the team must forfeit.
No player can play on more than one team in the same division. Players are allowed to play in different categories.
Brackets
This tournament consists of pool play followed by bracket play (single or double depending on the number of teams in the division). Each team will play every team in the pool once. Pool play record will set the seeding for the bracket play.
What to bring
Your own paddles and portable chairs. No outside pickleballs allowed.
Game rules and time limit
Score cards are given to each team prior to their game by the tournament coordinator.
Games are played to 11 points (win by 2 and cap at 15 points).
If a team is not there after the five-minute warm-up, a forfeit will be required.
Winners
Teams follow the bracket. One winner is announced for each division.
Tournament rules
This tournament is enforced primarily by the "honor system." There will be an onsite tournament coordinator. The tournament coordinator’s responsibility will be to rule on any situation in which teams cannot agree. The tournaments coordinator's decision is final — no exceptions.
Dress code
Please wear appropriate attire suitable for pickleball play. Tennis shoes are recommended for safety.
Code of conduct
- Understand, appreciate and abide by the rules of the game.
- Respect the integrity and judgment of staff.
- Respect your opponent and congratulate them in a courteous manner following each match whether in victory or defeat.
- Be responsible for your actions and maintain self-control.
- Do not taunt or bait opponents and refrain from using foul or abusive language.
- Understand that not abiding by these rules will have you and/or your team removed from the tournament without a monetary refund.
Parking
Free parking is available at the Foundry Church, 8835 Lackman Rd., Lenexa, KS 66219. Handicap-accessible parking is available at the Foundry Church parking lot.
Alcohol
No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Concessions
Light refreshments such as water, fruit and snacks are available on site for players.
Pets
Only service dogs are allowed at the event.
Between games
Players are welcome to sit around the park, playground, parking lots, or in their car.
