City Hall, offices and Lenexa Old Town Activity Center are closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Lenexa Public Market and Lenexa Rec Center are open regular hours.
Grab your fishing pole and get ready to reel in some fun! Our free Youth Fishing Derby is open to kids 13 and under — no experience needed. Prizes, giveaways and tons of fishy fun await. Don’t miss out!
This youth fishing derby will take place at Rose's Pond in Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park. It is a catch-and-release derby. Participants will measure their fish and then place them back in the pond. Advance registration appreciated but walk ups welcome the day of the event. Bait, tackle and poles available on first come, first serve basis.
This activity is free, but registration is required.
