A police report is a brief, written synopsis of a incident involving law enforcement attention. This type of report typically satisfies the needs of insurance companies on insurance claims, as well as with other companies or entities requiring proof that a report has been filed with the Lenexa Police Department.

How to request a police report

In person

Step 1.Visit the Lenexa Justice Center

The Lenexa Justice Center is located at 17371 Prairie Star Pkwy., Lenexa, KS 66219. Our lobby is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Step 2.Fill out a form and pay a fee

Submit your police report request in writing via a paper form. 

Pay the report fee with cash, check, money order or credit card. 

Step 3.Receive the report

We will process your request and can typically provide a printed copy of the report(s) immediately.

By mail

Step 1.Send your request and pay the fee

Submit a written request for a police report to us by postal mail:

  • Reference the Lenexa Police Department case number.
  • Include a $5 check or money order made out to the "Lenexa Police Department."
  • Include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Step 2.Receive the report

We will process your request and mail a printed copy of the report(s).
