Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

Responsibilities

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board advises staff and provides feedback on all aspects of parks and recreation. It approves all park donations under $10,000 and makes recommendations to the Lenexa City Council concerning items such as park development and improvements, programs and events and recreation facilities.


Meetings

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month.

Agendas and minutes

Copies of upcoming meeting agendas are typically available the week before the meeting date. Minutes of previous meetings are available after they are approved at the following meeting.


Current members

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board consists of nine members who are appointed by the mayor with the consent of the City Council. They serve three-year terms.
