Courtney Eiterich was first elected to serve as Ward 1 council member in November 2019. She was reelected in 2023.
Eiterich is a life-long resident of the Kansas City area and has called Lenexa home since 2010. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas, and is a licensed Journeyman Electrician. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Arts in Teaching from Kansas State University.
Eiterich teaches high school government and public administration for Kansas City Kansas Public Schools.
Previously, she was employed at General Motors for 10 years and served on the Executive Board for UAW Local 31. In 2007 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and gave birth to twins. Advocating, volunteering, and fundraising for several nonprofit organizations focused on health care access and disability rights is one of her passions.
She and her husband, Dirk, have three children.
