Age and admission policy

Family checking in at welcome desk in Lenexa Old Town Activity Center The following guidelines help ensure everyone’s safety and create an enjoyable environment.

  • All patrons must check in at the welcome desk to access activities, programs and events. Some require:
    • Purchase of a drop-in pass or punch card.
    • Advance registration.
  • Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult while in the facility or be actively participating in a registered program.

Youth waiver

Parents/guardians must be present to sign a release of liability form(PDF, 148KB) for the initial visit of any youth age 12–17 who uses the facility unaccompanied by an adult. The release of liability waiver will be in effect for one year. During the initial visit, a household account will be created with parent contact information in case of an emergency.

Caregiver access

Need a caregiver to assist you at the Lenexa Old Town Activity Center? Please request ADA accommodations before your initial visit. Once approved, your caregiver will be allowed access at no charge when you visit the facility.

All day pass holders must have an up-to-date photo ID on file. Ages 18 and older also require a driver's license for entry.

Transportation and parking

Access and parking

Lenexa Old Town Activity Center is easily accessible from Interstate I-35. Exit I-35 at 95th Street and head west to Pflumm Road.

Free parking is available in a surface-level parking lot, which has 129 regular spaces and 11 handicap spaces. Enter the lot parking via Pflumm Road, 94th Street or Haskins Street. Parking map(PDF, 532KB)

Bus service

RideKC provides weekday bus service along 95th Street via Route 495. No service offered on weekends.

Bicycles

Bicycle parking is available at designated areas on-site. Please ensure your bicycle is securely locked using appropriate security measures. Lenexa Old Town Activity Center is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to bicycles or bicycle accessories while parked on the premises.

A RideKC Bike hub is also located east of the historic Old Town business district.


Johnson County Nutrition Services

Johnson County Area Agency on Aging's Nutrition Services program provides hot meals at neighborhood centers like Lenexa Old Town Activity Center. Lunch is served Monday–Friday at 11:30 a.m.

To reserve a meal, call 913.888.6141 by 10 a.m. at least a day in advance. Suggested donation is $4 for anyone age 60 or older and their spouse. Younger guests pay full price. No one is denied a meal due to inability to donate.
