Ad Astra Park

Ad Astra Park is a 10-acre park located next to Christa McAuliffe Elementary School. It includes a natural area, .7-mile jogging/walking trail, which connects to Ad Astra Trail to the north and a large open play area. 


Playground

This playground is accessible for all abilities to ride and slide. There is a play set for kids ages 2–5 with slides and climbing wall. The play equipment for ages 5–12 features bridges, climbing walls, boulder climbing and slides. A music-making station with multiple percussion instruments is available. There are four swings, including an ADA accessible swing. The primary surface is a poured-in-place safety surface, with wood mulch in the swings area.

Accessible and inclusive equipment

Instruments, Tic-Tac-Toe, double slides, several interactive panels, sign language panel, single slide, ages 5–12 swing with safety harness.


Ad Astra Pool 

Rebuilt in 2026, Ad Astra Pool continues a longtime summer tradition for residents. The pool features a large zero-depth entry, an 180-foot current channel, underwater bench seating, shade areas and spaces for both fun and relaxation. Guests can also enjoy lap lanes and a deep-water diving area.

Ad Astra Pool is generally open from Memorial Day through early-August each year.
