Go for the Goal!

Lace up for a summer adventure. Explore Lenexa's playgrounds, solve the secret code and score. Kids ages 2–12 have from May 29 to Aug. 28, 2026, to visit 16 of Lenexa's 27 playgrounds in this year's Playground Passport. Here's how to participate:

  1. Sign up. (It's free!)
Get reminders and activities for each park. Plus, make sure we get your t-shirt size. This year's shirt showcases our Lenexa Likes Futbol pride.
    Register online

  2. Get your Playground Passport
    • Get a Passport starting May 29 at the Lenexa Rec Center or Old Town Activity Center.
  3. Explore and collect letters
Visit each playground and find a small sign near the play area with a letter + number. Write the letter above the number in your passport.

Letter code signs are usually on existing posts near the playground.

  4. Claim your prize
Bring your completed passport to the Parks & Recreation desk at the Lenexa Rec Center by Aug. 28. You’ll get a free Lenexa Likes Futbol T-shirt, small prize and a chance to win a gift card for sporting goods or Parks & Recreation programs.

Pro tips

  • Look for the letter code signs – They’re usually attached to existing posts near the playground.
  • Same code for multiple playgrounds – If a park has more than one playground, all of them share the same code.
  • Missing a sign? – Let us know! Email parksandrec@lenexa.com if you think a sign is missing.
  • Sharing is allowed! – Siblings can share one passport. Just make sure to list each child's name so everyone gets a T-shirt and a chance to win the prize drawing.
  • Tag your playground photos with #SeeLenexa on social media (or submit one at Lenexa.com/SeeLenexa) for a chance to appear on the back cover of TownTalk.
  • Explore the rest of Lenexa's parks and playgrounds.
