The Lenexa Lazers swim and dive team is a youth recreational program for ages 5 to 18. Athletes learn skills and technique in a fun, safe and team-oriented atmosphere.
The coaching staff is dedicated to athletes' development. They encourage hard work and a positive attitude in practice and at meets, both in and out of the water. The program is directed by City of Lenexa representatives.

If inclement weather causes us to cancel practice or meets, we will post information no later than 30 minutes before the start of the program.
Status:
Pre-competitive swim team
This program is not a substitute for swim lessons. Your child must be between 5 and 13 years old as of June 1 to be eligible.
They will be coached in stroke technique, but they should have general knowledge of freestyle and backstroke. Your child should have completed swim lessons and be able to swim freestyle competently for 25 yards with their face in the water and without touching the bottom of the pool.
Practices are generally Monday–Friday mornings. Meets are held on Saturday mornings.
Competitive swim team
Your child must be between 7 and 18 years old as of June 1 and must be proficient at swimming the length of a 50-meter pool using freestyle and backstroke.
Practices are generally held Monday through Friday mornings. Meets are held on Thursday evenings.
Competitive dive team
This program is not a substitute for diving lessons. Your child must be between 6 and 18 years old by June 1. They will need to perform three competitive dives to compete in the league.
Practices are generally held Monday through Friday mornings. Meets are held on Tuesday evenings.

Late registrations will be charged an additional $20 late fee May 11th - May 20th.
A multiple-child discount is available for three or more children within the same immediate family. Must register in person.

Team slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the roster is full, we will start a wait list.
