About the orchestra

Enjoy an evening of classical music performed by the Lenexa Community Orchestra — a talented group of volunteer musicians led by Kansas City Symphony bassist and conductor Richard Ryan. Each concert features a unique mix of works by classical composers and modern artists, often including guest soloists supported by the Kansas City Symphony’s Community Connections Initiative.

Now in its ninth season, the orchestra presents three free concerts each summer. These performances are made possible through support from the Lenexa Arts Council, the Henderson Foundation, and the Martha Lee Cain Tranby Music Enrichment Fund.

Concerts are free and open to the public — no tickets required.

Parking note: Park in the lots on the west side of the school using 85th Street entrances, and enter the building using Doors 41, 42 or 43.
